To update to the latest version:
- If you bought Optimal Layout from the Mac App Store: open the App Store and switch to the "Updates" tab, select update next to Optimal Layout's icon.
- If you bought Optimal Layout from this site: open Optimal Layout's Preferences, switch to the "Updates" tab and press the "Check for updates" button.

- A better delay when using Optimal Layout to quickly switch between two windows, so you wont see it if you don't want to.
- Apply the same saved window position repeatedly to rotate it's position on screen.
e.g. Repeately press the quarter screen window position button (or keyboard command) and the window will move between each quarter.
Applies to any window position.
Reduces the number of window positions that need to be setup and keyboard shortcuts required. - Better sorting of the window list when sorted by Application Activity.
- Better listing of some apps such as Reeder & Titanium Studio.

- Command-Tab Support
- Set Optimal Layout's activation shortcut to command-tab and replace the default app switcher.
- Optimal Layout will offer to update the corresponding shortcuts from option to tab.
- Type To Search Your List of Windows
- Hit option-command-F to start searching for a window or app name.
- Filter by Space in the seach box with :1 - for Space 1, etc. Press escape to clear the filter.
- Tab Listing for Safari, Google Chrome & Terminal
- Press option-v to toggle tab listing, they are off by default.
- Tabs are automatically searched when using the new search feature - this is really useful.
- With option-W Optimal Layout will close Safari & Google Chrome tabs, but not Terminal tabs.
- See the instructions at the bottom of these release notes to get Terminal to display the current path in the tab title.
- Close all tabs and the window with option-shift-W
- No previews of the tabs and no Firefox tab listing yet, sorry.
- As there's no preview, you'll see the tab name in the preview instead.
- Undo Window Positions
- A new shortcut command-option-Z allows you to undo the last applied window position for a window.
- The zoom window shortcut has been moved to option-G (G for Grow?)
- Quick positions using the grid
- Single click in a grid square to fill the screen from that point on with the window.
- Draw in a single square to extend the window out in the drawn direction.
- Other Updates
- Updated icon for the move window between displays button.
- Display window titles in the preview - this setting is in Preferences, under the General tab, select the Appearance Tab, there's a drop down box at the end.
- Re-arranged Preferences.
- New pre-defined Styles.
- The feedback reporter now includes your email address - you can easily remove this.
- The center window (without resizing) shortcut is back: command-option-backspace
